What types of patients does Dr. Ahmed treat? Can she be my primary care physician?
Dr. Nasiya Ahmed is a board-certified internal medicine physician who provides primary care for adults age 18 and older, with particular expertise in the healthcare needs of adults age 65 and older. She does not provide pediatric or prenatal care.

Initial appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes, while follow-up visits are scheduled for 30 minutes.

Do you offer house calls, and what areas do you serve?
Village Physicians offers house calls through its house-call program for eligible patients within a 5-mile radius of the clinic. Exceptions to this service area may be possible depending on the circumstances.
Please contact our office to confirm whether your address is within the service area and to discuss eligibility for a house-call appointment.
What is a geriatric consultation, and when should I schedule one?
A geriatric consultation focuses on the health needs of older adults. A physician with specialized training in geriatrics can evaluate age-related health concerns, help identify potential problems, and discuss strategies to support health, function, and quality of life.
You may benefit from a geriatric consultation if you or a family member has concerns about memory changes, falls, multiple medical conditions, medication management, or other challenges associated with aging.
You can continue seeing your primary care physician while consulting with a geriatric specialist. Contact Village Physicians to discuss your concerns and determine whether a geriatric consultation may be appropriate.
How can I contact my doctor with a healthcare question?
If you are an established patient, you can send Dr. Ahmed a message through the Patient Portal. Messages are generally answered within 24 hours, according to the practice's current policy.

Yes, telemedicine appointments may be available depending on your care needs and eligibility.

Do you accept Medicare or other health insurance?
Village Physicians accepts traditional Medicare. For other health insurance plans, patients generally pay the practice directly and may submit a superbill to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan, benefits, and coverage rules. Submitting a superbill does not guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you.

Village Physicians accepts cash, checks, and major credit cards for payment of medical services.
